Annual Membership fees are:

Farm: $110.00

It has been some time since you’ve heard from your Kentucky Morgan Horse Association. We want to extend a special welcome to our new members:

Since we last wrote, KMHA has:
- Awarded over $16,000 to 2007 winners of Kentucky Morgan Horse Breeder’s Incentive Funds
- Experienced substantial growth in membership to include several breeding/training farm
memberships as well as new individual memberships
- Increased pool of KMBIF eligible horses from 29 prior to the 2007 Grand National and World Championship Horse Show to over 75 nominated horses
- Sponsored our first two Morgan classes at the Kentucky Spring Premier Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park.
It is not too late to nominate your competition horses for 2008 KMHBIF awards. Just visit the KMHA website (www.kmha.kentuckyhorse.org) to obtain a nomination form and get your paperwork in before September 1, 2008. Contact any of your officers if you have questions. For your convenience, I’ve attached a membership application and KMHBIF nomination form.
We hope you will be able to support the Kentucky State Fair Morgan Horse Show with entries this year. The show will be held August 11-12, on the Kentucky State Fair Grounds in Louisville. KMHA will be sponsoring an exhibitor’s reception this year, and are very pleased to announce that we will present three $250.00 high-point awards for the first time
- junior exhibitor,
- amateur,
- Kentucky Morgan Horse Breeder’s Incentive eligible horse
Revenue realized through KMHA memberships and KMBIF nominations have made it possible for KMHA to provide these benefits to our Morgan community. We extend special thanks to all who have supported our organization with their memberships and participation in the KMHBIF.
We have some very important business to complete by November of this year. By November 1, KMHA must reapply for participation in the Kentucky Horse Breeders Incentive Program. This is our opportunity to revise our program. Your input is very important to us. We will seek it more formally in the near future, but encourage you to send us your ideas as they occur to you. Our program will be effective for the years of 2009-2011, so we want to do things to the very best of our collective abilities.
